The Hebron Area Retreat is an annual weekend music intensive, held this year in Denton at Camp Copass, on the northern shore of Lake Lewisville. Each student receives individual attention from a specialist on their instrument and participates in master classes, and recitals, intended to prepare them for their upcoming Area Audition.
Congratulations to the following students who advanced to the Area auditions from the All-Region auditions held Tuesday, November 30th and Saturday, December 4th, 2010: Robert Aron, Brittany Baptista, Adam Buttyan, Caroline Cannon, Ben Carroll, Rahul Dadwani, Kelsie Dunham, Eric Kalbfleisch, Chris Lee, Greg Newton, Amber Rzeznik, Jennie Sung, and Andrew Winker. These students all attended this year's Area Retreat for intensive one-on-one instruction, group mock auditions, and team-building activities.

First exercise: "Helium Stick". Try to lower the wire to the ground.
The hitch: each person's index finger must always be touching the wire. Okay, this seems simple enough.
Shoot! It keeps going up!
Knees on the ground don't count! Team=0 Helium Stick=1
Second exercise: Flip the 6 x 8 foot tarp over, while everyone is standing on it,
without anyone's feet touching the bare ground.
Alright, let's figure this out.
